Permanent Cosmetics, otherwise known as Permanent Makeup or Cosmetic
Tattooing, is the method of depositing hypoallergenic pigments into
the dermal layer of the skin. We perform all procedures with
specialty disposable devices and the highest quality pigments to
ensure less trauma to the skin and excellent results.
Hand Method: The SofTap® needle configurations are designed
to provide maximum comfort, fast healing, complete control, fewer
touchups, and most important of all, the most natural look in the
world. Many technicians find the hand method to be less traumatic
to the delicate tissue. Our specialist spent over one year training on the
various methods available for permanent cosmetic applications and
prefers this method for many of her procedures. She can create the
most natural looking fine eyeliner on the most fragile skin types
with this specialty technique. She will evaluate the skin and determine
the best possible method to use for each individual procedure.

Frequently asked questions:
Is it painful?
A topical anesthetic is applied prior to and during each procedure
to numb the area and help ease any discomfort. Every person is different,
some will feel simply pressure or scratching, some a vibration and
some will feel nothing at all. We do our best to ensure you are
comfortable.
Is the procedure safe?
Your safety and comfort are our highest concern. Technicians must
follow strict hygiene and sterilization procedures that conform
to OSHA and CDC (Centers for Disease Control) guidelines. A scratch
test is highly recommended prior to your procedure.
Is this the same as a Tattoo?
Yes, both are permanent. However, for permanent cosmetics we utilize
specialty formulations for the facial procedures. As with tattoos,
some clients need to be "touched up" within 2-6 years.
Some more frequently as everyone is different. Results will depend
on age, skin tone, over exposure to the sun (UVA, UVB rays), body
chemistry and the degree of care taken to maintain the procedure
as well as medications.
What if I want to change my makeup?
We work with your natural facial features to enhance them. This
natural look allows you to apply normal cosmetics over your Permanent
Makeup for variety. Therefore, without any applied makeup, you are
always naturally enhanced. For many this is simply a foundation
or guide to apply their cosmetics with more ease. For others it
is all they need to feel comfortable. If you plan to have cosmetic
surgery in the future please inform your technician so as she can
make adjustments to compensate for the possible changes.
How long is the recovery period?
Some clients may experience slight swelling or bruising and is usually
not noticeable. Most can return to normal daily activities right
away. Cold compresses are applied at time of treatment and often
reduce any swelling dramatically. Some don't swell or bruise at
all. Again, every client is different. Feel free to have a friend
drive you if you have sensitive eyes and are receiving an eyeliner
procedure.
Is it expensive?
Considering the "Permanent Makeup" lasts for years before
a "touch up" is needed, it is relatively inexpensive.
Considering how much time it saves the client to apply makeup the
pricing is quite a bargain. Pricing is relative to the technician's
expertise and the quality of her equipment and pigments as well.
You can be assured Sheryl utilizes only the finest quality products.
How much does it cost?
The average price for a procedure is between $500 and $750, depending
on which procedure you desire. In some cases a touch up is recommended
at a greatly reduced fee.
How do I select the appropriate color for me?
There is a right color for everyone. We taken into consideration
your natural skin color, hair color and eye color. A soft, natural
color is always preferred. Please keep in mind that the color at
the time of the procedure will fade 15-25% as a result of the healing
process and natural exfoliation. It will always appear darkest at
the time of the procedure. We will help you choose the proper color
for your desired end result.
How long does a procedure take?
Although the length of the procedures may vary, as well as the number
of visits required, most procedures generally take less than 2 hours.
An appointment for a consultation for a scratch test and a follow
up appointment are often recommended. Separate charges may apply.
